Payment:
- We can accept orders via the secure web server, by telephone and by cheque or postal order only.
- We can accept cheques or postal orders at our U.K. mailing address only.
- We do not accept cash sent through the post.
- We do not supply goods on a "cash on delivery" basis.
- We do our best to ensure the website prices are correct, but in rare instances an item may be priced incorrectly.
- If the item’s correct price is lower than our stated price, we will charge you the lower amount and ship you the item.
- If the correct price is higher, we will contact you with the option of paying the correct amount or cancelling the order.
- Prices may fluctuate depending on supply and exchange rates.
Credit/Debit Card Sales:
- You must be the registered credit/debit cardholder to order any item from DC-DVD.
- You must supply your full name and registered card address.
- We may verify your name and address with your card issuer.
- Customers must provide a landline telephone number.
- We log all originating info for online orders.
- Credit card surcharge:
- 5% surcharge on Visa and Mastercard.
- £1 surcharge on Delta, Switch and Solo Cards.
Despatch:
- Goods are USUALLY sent by recorded/registered mail or insured courier and may require a signature on receipt.
- We part ship if not all DVDs are available immediately or expected within a couple of days.
- DVDs are USUALLY sent by recorded/registered mail. Postage charges are included in the stated price.
- Stock items are USUALLY despatched within 3-5 days, but please allow up to 7 days during busy periods.
- Non-stock items will be despatched once stock is available.
- Delivery times are USUALLY 3-5 days from date of despatch, but can vary due to seasonal delays.
- Items occasionally go out of print or are unavailable from our suppliers, so please allow up to 28 days for delivery.
- We will USUALLY contact you after 28 days if we are unable to supply any item.
- We retain the right to cancel/refund an order at any time.
- We do not guarantee delivery times nor can we accept orders where "time is of the essence".
- We do not provide next-day delivery.
- Please examine courier delivered goods before signing for them to ensure they are in good condition.
- U.K. insured courier delivery for hardware items is included in the stated price. Non-U.K. shipping will be charged at cost.
- We are currently unable to deliver outside of Europe. Any orders placed for despatch to non-European destinations will not be processed.
Warranty:
- Goods are not sold on a trial basis.
- We offer a 1 year warranty on all our hardware items.
- Goods returned under warranty for repair or replacement must be accompanied by a copy of the sales invoice.
- Carriage charges are NOT refundable. Return carriage charges are the responsibility of the customer.
- Goods should not be returned unless we have given authorization. Please email us first.
- Where DVD players returned under warranty are not repairable, credit will be given against a replacement model.
Regional Coding / Regional Coding Enhancement (RCE):
- All our DVDs are Region 1 unless otherwise stated. You must have a player which will play Region 1 DVDs to play a region 1 DVD.
- We will not refund DVDs which will not play on your player due to regional limitations or RCE encoding onced/unwrapped.
Order Cancellations ('Cooling Off' Period): [in accordance with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations, 2000.]
- You have the right to cancel an order at any time prior to the item(s) being shipped.
- You have the right to cancel an order which has already shipped, subject to the following conditions:
- (i) Your decision to cancel must be put in writing, either by letter (sent by registered mail) or by fax or e-mail, within 7 working days of receipt of the item(s).
- (ii) The item(s) must be und, undamaged and in saleable condition.
- (iii) The item(s) must be returned, by registered mail (at your expense), within 30 days of cancellation.
Defective/Faulty Items:
- We will exchange faulty or defective item(s), purchased from us, subject to the following conditions:
- (i) You notify us in writing, either by letter (sent by registered mail) or by fax or e-mail, within 30 days of receipt of the item(s).
- (ii) The item(s) are returned to us, by registered mail (at our expense, upto a maximum of £3 upon production of postage receipts), within 60 days of receipt of the item(s).
- (iii) We will replace faulty discs with the SAME TITLE ONLY.
Returns:
- We will NOT replace or refund DVDs which you do not like.
- We will NOT replace or refund DVDs ordered by mistake.
- We will NOT replace or refund DVDs which are NOT faulty.
- We will NOT refund or exchange titles which will not play on your player specifically, ie. due to a glitch. Please check the various glitch lists before ordering.
DTS Audio / DVD-Audio:
- DTS encoded discs require a DTS capable DVD player and a DTS decoder for playback of DTS audio tracks.
- DVD-Audio discs will not play on a regular DVD-Video player.
Mailings:
- If this is your first order, you will be added to the Member's database and may receive periodic e-mailings from us with new releases and special offers.
- Except where explicitly advised to the contrary - all coupons, vouchers or discounts of any kind, howsoever issued, (excluding credits issued in conjunction with a return postage charge) will have a maximum validity of 90 days from the date of issue by DC-DVD.
Policy Amendments:
- DC-DVD Limited reserves the right to amend the above "Terms & Conditions" at any time and without notice. It is therefore the customer's responsibility to check this page periodically to ensure compliance.
