Ernest "Dude" Selby is forced to take over a ranch he inherited when he finds out that cattle have been mysteriously disappearing. Before Selby can confront the ranch boss, Sam Hepburn, who he thinks is behind the cattle disappearances, Hepburn assumes that Dude is just another love-struck cowboy looking for a job so he can chase after Hepburn's daughter Ann. Selby decides taking a job undercover would be the best way to discover the truth, and he not only uncovers a sinister plot - he ends up having the fight of his life!
