Yellowman was one of the hottest toasters in Jamaican dancehalls during the 1980's. In the early 1990's he went with a mellower, slightly less controversial style. In was his rude style filled with lyrics many consider homophobic and explicitly sexist that inspired the word "slackness" as a descriptor for some of the types of dancehall music. But he has always been more than merely vulgar and careful listening to his lyrics reveals a wicked sense of humor and even a genuine consciousness. Songs include: Comin' Home From The Cold; Nobody Move Nobody Get Hurt; Oh Caroline; Yo-Yo; Girl Watcher; Two To Six, Supermix; Me Believe; Blueberry Hill; Mister Chin; Romie; Jamaica Nice
