Aston Martin, Jaguar, BRM, Lotus, Cooper, Connaught, Vanwall - magical names from the history of British motorsport before sponsors' advertising dominated the appearance of racing cars.
We revisit many lovingly restored examples of great British racing cars from the 1950s & 60s in action at the historic racing car festival at Silverstone. The great names of the past including - Moss, Surtees, Scheckter, Hulme, Salvadori and Brooks are reunited with the cars in which they earned their reputations and their many international victories. Present day action footage of the great cars and drivers combines with rare archive of the 50s and 60s as each car is expertly profiled. Producer Neville Hay adds many fascinating and entertaining anecdotes from his wealth of knowledge of motor racing history.
