After thinking he was 'missing presumed dead' John Porter is found alive, albeit disorientated and distant. Margaret has to content with his unpleasant mother and make an agonising decision.
Giving and Taking
The whole family is shattered by Robert's death. Margaret leaves hospital and receives some news of her husband John. Edwin opens his heart up to Jean.

John Porter is discovered alive - although extremely disorientated. Margaret has to make a hard decision - whether to stay with Michael or remain loyal to John.
Into the Dark
John is slowly adjusting to being back at home but Margaret finds it hard to tell him about Michael because of his mental state - then something hastens her decision.

Margaret is reunited with her husband but his mother Celia is making mischief. Michael is very unhappy about being cast aside. Edwin consoles John about fears of losing Margaret.
