The second series of Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie's sketch and skit show saw the duo in full stride. Indeed, that very stride was often evident in the opening to each show as they marched into the living room that was to be their set for the series. "Damn, double damn, and an extra pint of damn for the weekend."
Fry and Laurie continued their witty and hilarious assault on everything the Eighties had held dear: advertising, big business, pompous figures of authority, pretentious actors... Call My Bluff. The series also saw the return of not-so super spy Tony Mercheson and his boss Control; yuppies, John and Peter, still trying to put Utoxeter on the map "dammit"; inane vox-pops and fabulous interview series such as "Realising I've Given The Wrong Directions To..."
Another fabulous series of great satire, comic genius and hilarious use of language had put Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie at the very top of the comedy tree.
